Specific for agmatine as the acyl acceptor, inactive towards tyramine and putrescine. Has activity with the acyl donors 4-coumaroyl-CoA, cinnamoyl-CoA, caffeoyl-CoA, feruloyl-CoA, and to a lesser extent sinapoyl-CoA.
